It isn’t, you need to get the manager and explain to them how ridiculous a claim that is.
Do not leave until they have rectified the issue.
Breakfast main?
March 2024, for Sainsbury’s.
I’m not here for fun, I’m here for the facts.
For breakfast it could be.
Wow what a rip off
And wasn’t it only recently that the meal deals rose to £3.50, now it’s almost £4?
Since the supermarkets realised they could cash in on those looking for breakfast by expanding their meal deal options. Pretty clever if you think about it, why bother going elsewhere for breakfast if you can get a yoghurt, fruit, and coffee for under a fiver?
Girl lunch.
Pretty sure I saw someone get a meal deal consisting of a yoghurt main, yoghurt side and yop-style drink
They’re gorgeous bro
Get one
It’s not the yoghurt on its own, the whatever the fuck that is on top is transformative.
Seems like a shit deal unless you get your money’s worth with the other items
A basic ham sandwich is on the main meal list too, which is roughly the same number of calories, but my guess is the granola, yoghurt and kompot are more filling.
I often have yoghurt with fruit for lunch, it’s absolutely a main
Tbf you can get stuff like soup and sausage rolls as a snack nowadays so the line between snack and main is kind of blurred anyway. I sometimes will get a fruit salad as my main and then sushi as a snack.
It’s a meal deal, not a lunch deal. Breakfast is a meal too.
If a bowl of cereal or oatmeal can be considered a main, so can this.
It’s the same milk an oats, just at a different stage of chemistry/biology.
Since around 5000bc
got a samosa as a main th’other day, was sure it used to be a side. I don’t go for them often admittedly, someone wanted a drink and someone else wanted a snack and the meal deal was the sensible option
About the same time that a shitty sandwich, a can of fizzy pop and a packet of crisps became a meal.
Add a sausage roll as a side – balance it out a bit
I mean it’s greek yoghurt with oats and fruit in a decent portion. Considering stuff like fruit is sides it makes sense to me.
I’m currently losing weight and a common breakfast suggestion is plain yoghurt, overnight oats and fresh fruit. I wouldn’t eat the one in the picture because of the added sugar but I would guess that this is just a result of it being a popular breakfast. Yoghurt is also protein and if haven’t already noticed all the shops are obsessed about promoting protein as it appeals to both those trying to lose weight and those trying to build muscle.
I would bet there’s easily as many calories in those pots as a sandwich
It’s breakfast, that’s a meal
since is 300calories and has 20g protein probably
Sainsburys meal deal is terrible, you’d get that yogurt as a snack at the Co-op
The meal deals are weird now. One of them I think Tesco you can get a full sized ginsters cornish pasty as the side. So you can have a sandwich and a Cornish pasty for lunch.
Oh my god I literally got caught out by this an hour ago.
Went to the checkout and was like.. I know the mean deal hasn’t gone up to £8!
*Edit* **Meal* deal not *mean* deal. Although for the price of it these days, it could be consider as such. Remember when the tesco’s ones as £2.50? 14 years ago that was. Those were the days.
I had a small bowl of mango for my main and a gigantic sausage roll for my snack from Tesco the other day. There is no logic but I am happy to take advantage of it

Remember when yogurts used to be about 25p?
Eat what you want when you want, much easier to maintain a healthy diet that way.
Or not, you do you.
The Morrisons equivalent is a snack, I get it along side my ‘salad’ (pasta)
YOU’re r bein conditioned bY govenment for youre state supplied nutritent slop!!! You will eat and like it.
Gammons, probably.
Last year I had that for breakfast and the sandwich for lunch. 2 meals for an okay enough price.
Got caught out by this at the till last Friday
The shop assistant I asked in Sainsbury’s told me “it’s because it’s got bits”.
