The case of a man living in an asylum hotel who is accused of sexual assault was heard in court today.
Tadi Alemeyeha, 23, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman.
Alemeyeha, who had lived at the Britannia Country House Hotel in Didsbury, south Manchester, is understood to be seeking asylum in the UK.
His case was heard at Manchester Crown Court earlier today. (Thursday, September 11)

Alemeyeha was due to be brought to court for a plea and trial preparation hearing, but the judge was told he was unable to attend.
He previously pleaded not guilty to the offence during an appearance at Manchester Magistrates’ Court in August.

Alemeyeha’s case was adjourned until November, for a further pre-trial hearing.
A trial was scheduled for February. Alemeyeha was remanded in custody.
