    * Shaun White and Nina Dobrev are going their separate ways. The champion snowboarder, 39, and *The Vampire Diaries* actress, 36, have ended their engagement and split after five years together, PEOPLE can confirm exclusively.
    * A source close to the pair says “it was a mutual decision, and wasn’t an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for one another.” White and Dobrev were last photographed together on Aug. 31, 2025 in Los Angeles, holding hands while running errands.
    * But on Sept. 7, Dobrev walked the red carpet of the *Eternity* premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival without her 5 carat diamond engagement ring. She’s also unpinned her engagement post, which has been a staple on the top of her Instagram since White popped the question in October 2024.

  21. I saw this coming…it just seemed too perfect. They both had very similar lifestyles and he fit into that. And not to mention, I’m hearing he may not have been faithful and he has a reputation in the snowboarding community.

  22. I always find it interesting when a couple dates for several years and then get married and then get divorced immediately. Like what happened after the marriage started? Do people just have unrealistic expectations of their partner? Did the husband expect the wife to be subservient? Or the wife expect the husband to stay at home all the time and not out with their buddies? Like what changed???
