I had hoped to have a bit of a bbq today but the weather doesn’t look very promising.

Went to bed at 1, woke up at 6:30 feeling refreshed, stuck on Silvio by Bobby Dylan to start the day. Bit of study then out on the bike before chilling out for the afternoon.
Time with the doggie sounds like good medicine!

Had a bbq last night. A bit rainy, but hey. This morning, set to go paddle-boarding which I’ve not done before. Something else to tick off the bucket list.

It’s the festival weekend in Limerick so loads of activity around the town culminating in a fireworks display this evening. I, however am going to see how many times I can masturbate before it becomes pointless and I have some sort of an exististential crisis around noon.

Slept in until 8. The kids slept in too which is highly unusual. We must’ve all needed it. This weekend is all about getting the garden set up for the summer, so myself and my husband are working away at that for the next 2 days. It’s nice!

Today I’ll go for a long ass walk. Its also a bank holiday so I might venture out for a couple drinks later. Will see !

Went out for a few pints last night to meet friends I hadn’t seen since pre COVID.
Have a soccer match against a big local rival this morning so have to get up and ready for that.
Then it’s watch the hurling for the afternoon and maybe a couple of pints.

Kid has some vomitty thing, was supposed to be bringing him over to see my parents, but that’s too risky because any infection my da gets seems to make his Alzheimers spiral so have to give that a miss.
It was my kids 8th birthday on Friday so we had a party for him yesterday, his first proper bday party in 3 years. He loved it.
Ye all are going to have such an active day I’m put to shame. Most strenuous task I have planned is taking a close look at my wormwood to see does it look like anything might revive it. And I suppose I should delete tab w. yesterday’s Celtic Tiger excesses thread or I’ll waste part of the day finishing it.
Does anyone know of any place in Ireland still selling GU10 35w *halogen* spots? Dealz had them long after ban but now I can’t find them within the country anywhere, and I can’t abide quality of light cast by LED bulbs overhead.

Had a lie-in until 7.30. It’s all damp and drizzling here, so I edged all the lawn and weeded the cracks on the back patio and out the front. I’d like to buy a good lawn edging but they’re all bloody expensive when there’s so much else I need to get atm.
Redid my catio last week. It looks nice now. I took off the old ledges and cut new ones, stained them up etc, added mulch to some of the catio, some nice stonework, new plants. Bought a new mitre saw but on hindsight I should have gotten a sliding one. Still does the job though. I can do some quick angle cuts for some of the new cat platforms now.
Wanted to get some white stone but wanted it per tonne and there’s nothing in stock. It’ll be two weeks at least. Disappointed. I’ll get it soon at least. Did get a tonne of mulch to freshen up the back though. And some lovely japanese painted ferns! I’d been looking for those and one of the local garden centres got some in. (Specifically [these guys](https://futureforests.ie/products/athyrium-niponicum-var-pictum-red-beauty).) They’re going in the corner under the ivy overhang with some foxgloves I got a week ago. Maybe the spare heuchera I have sitting in a pot as well. It’s a plum colour, so it’ll work.
Tired today. Back to work Tuesday. Anxious AF but it is what it is. Fingers crossed and Not Thinking About It.
Just home from the Coombe with my baby girl! Absolutely bollixed, don’t recognise my own tits, still a chubby divil but never even happier!

Absolutely knackered, the baby is having a sleep regression atm. Have the Aldi shop done, having a cuppa now and we’ll decide what to do for the day. Will depend on if it does piss rain like it’s meant to!

Boss said he was going to let me off early on Friday before telling me I’m working next Saturday and giving me busy work to finish while he laments about next week being short.
Was sick yesterday
This morning got a few work call which I am ignoring.
Just found out the dog we got recently, was in fact, not neutered. Couldn’t figure out why the local shitzu stud was at the door. Then I noticed the dag was bleeding. Put two and two together then.
Also just had a driving lesson with my mother in law. I’m fairly certain this is one of the levels of hell
Meeting my auntie in town who is close to me in age and we get along brilliantly that I know somewhere this afternoon an alcoholic bervergae that resembles a pint of Guinness will be had to take away the dullness of the depressing rain. May 1st shaping up to be decent.

I have poisoned myself with excellent whiskey and fine cigars. I was celebrating, and drunk celebratory me cares not a jot for tomorrow me. I’ve sent berocca and coffee into the system to try and repair or at least mask the damage done. I slept under a big pile of clothes as I forgot to bring bed stuff to my new apartment, soon I will wash myself with washing up liquid I found under the sink as I also forgot to bring shower stuff. Once I am well caffeinated, my zinc and vitamin levels have been restored, and am smelling of apples, I will venture outside in search of food, as I also forgot to bring food. With a green vit-hit, another cup of coffee, and an egg, onion, peppers, cheese and potato wedges roll in my belly, I will be borderline functional again, and then off I will go to search for plants of many varieties to live in my new home with me. I will name them all and they will be my friends.
sunny all last week when I was stuck in front of the bloody computer all day, raining now of course. May go out anyway for a little damp hike, certainly need the exercise.
I was going to head to Riverfest in Limerick, but have woken up with food poisoning from a takeaway last night.

Cut the grass yesterday afternoon, was a lovely day and the rain held off till late evening.
Food festival in Tralee this weekend, had a nosy at it but not much there.
Was meant to call to a friend’s last night to watch Attack on Titan bit messaged me while I was walking to the house to say he has a date, bought booze instead.
I don’t think I can go to work anymore.
When things go wrong and the panic sets in, more things go wrong trying to fix the things that went wrong and suddenly it’s all falling apart and no decision I make is the right one. It’s like living inthe last five minutes of every air-crash investigation episode ever, only without the flames and the dying….
I’d like to go to bed. It’s such a comfy bed I don’t particularly want to wake up in the morning.
I am sitting here in some comfy clothes, torn between trying to address the million tabs open in my brain and try to close them, or ignore them, rest and read my book… either way, it’s coffee number two on the way for me… Happy Sunday all.
Up at 7:38, had the alarm set for 7:30am with the intention of being down at Tesco for 8am when it opened. So I go to the fridge and drink two mouthfuls of orange juice. Then made a cup of tea. Yeah, You don’t ever want to do that. I’d imagine it was the milk in the tea that mixed with the OJ and made me feel queasy for hrs after. In any case I was back in bed for the next 5hrs. Eventually got to Tesco and was followed home by someone in a Merc. Maybe I said too much about that cult thats not a cult. Maybe I’m paranoid, maybe I’m a potato on the internet know one knows.
