    >Rajae Paul, 26 and of Barmouth Terrace, was convicted of two rapes by a jury on August 14, 2025. Today, he was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court to 13 years in jail, was given a sexual harm prevention order for 25 years, and was made to sign to sex offenders register for life.

    >West Yorkshire Police said Paul had built up a relationship with the victim over Snapchat and Instagram, making use of a fake name and claiming he was 16-years-old. After chatting using social media, Paul arranged to meet with the 14-year-old girl in Bradford.

    >On June 5, she travelled to Bradford, where Paul took her to Peel Park and violently raped her.

    >Detective Constable Louise Clayton of Bradford District Safeguarding Unit said: “I would first like to recognise the sheer bravery of our victim in this case and for her courage to come forward and report this to police at such a young age. She has also been able to navigate the long and complex judicial process to get to this point.

    >”I hope today she can find comfort in the sentence, knowing that he cannot hurt her or any other woman again. Paul is a violent sex offender who lied from the very start and continued to lie throughout police interviews and in court. He has never shown any remorse for his actions.

  2. It’s expensive however I genuinely do not see a moral or humanist problem with putting rapists behind bars for the remainder of their natural life.

    Someone commits a vile, barbaric act which violates someone’s personhood, they do not deserve to participate in society in any form apart from existing as property of the state.

  5. The girl is a hero for having the bravery to do through the whole judicial process despite testifying against a grown man which is not an easy or fear-free task. It’s sad this even happened to her in the first place.

    She’s probably saved the lives and safety of other girls and women by doing this and should feel proud of the strength that must’ve taken.

    May she recover in full or the best she can from these atrocities and may he be treated like the pedophile he is in prison.
