  1. Pete Davidson was only seven years old when his father passed away. Remembering Scott Davidson and all the other victims of September 11 today and always.

  2. His mom is terrible and handled that extremely poorly and you can tell that 90% of his current problems stem from this.

  3. Reminds me when my cousin died and my mother didn’t tell me. Had to find out from my cousins who were younger than me. Not a good thing to do to a child. Started a big discussion and argument and not a single sorry for your loss! Stay classy y’all!

  4. And now he’s going to perform comedy for the Saudis. Bet his dad would be proud.

  5. There’s an insane conspiracy theory out there that claims that Pete is dating all these celebrities to find out what really happened at 9/11

  6. OMG this definitely explains a lot. Congratulations on making it this far bro. (not that he would kill himself, just that a childhood history like this can result in the fatal disease of a drug addiction and he seems to be in remission)

  7. To those judging his mother…

His mother likely did not know for sure if his father was dead or not. As someone who lived through 9/11 in NY with family members/friends/neighbors that worked in the towers or for FDNY/NYPD, it took days to weeks and, in some cases, months to identify those who were killed.

Communication was hard as phone lines were slammed so you couldn’t always connect to loved ones to let them know you were okay. I remember having to call out to family in Florida to get information about my cousins that lived a few miles away.

Not only that, NYC was basically locked down. No one could drive in or out for days without proper authorization. People working in the city (even far from the towers) slept in offices. Some people couldn’t get home for days.

There was always hope to those thought to be dead in the days following were miraculously alive and just needed to be rescued.

Pete praised his mother and recognizes how strong she was and is. I couldn’t imagine dealing with the murder of your husband, in the midst of a terror attack, with a young child.

People love to post on social media “Never Forget” when 9/11 rolls around, but as time passes and I see judgements like I see against Pete’s mom, ya’ll forgot the terror and trauma that day caused for many, but especially those in NYC.

  8. Don’t care. Why does anyone care about a celebrity that doesn’t care about you? This celebrity obsessed culture is exactly why we have a con man in the White House. Our society has so much fucking brain rot and our priorities are totally out of whack.

  9. I remember the first time I learned that Pete Davidson’s father died on 9/11… And the 2nd time, and the 3rd time, and the 2595th time….

  10. I wonder if he will tell this story during his sets in Saudi Arabia?

  11. Now they are paying him to tell jokes on their soil.

  12. His dad died in 9/11? He never mentioned that before.

  13. And now he performs for the Saudi Royal Family who funded it.

  14. Jesus Christ is this Pete’s yearly milking of his dad’s death?

  15. It’s so important to hear stories like this from people who have obviously struggled with life. When you see someone that struggles with drugs or depression or anything related to mental health, know that it was probably caused by something they have no control over and if you were in their shoes you’d probably be just like them.

This is called being empathetic, and it isn’t a term made up by liberals. It’s the first character trait we should be trying to instill in our children if we want them to help us create a better world.

  16. Is he not doing a stand up for Saudi Arabia who have recently been found to have ties to 9/11?

  17. #NEWS FLASH BULLETIN:

This just in, News reporters once again find a way to retell this beaten horse of a story.

  18. It’s so crazy he is going to preform at Saudi comedy festival. Imagine accepting money to preform jokes for the people who killed your father

  19. There’s really no reason to continuously have articles and stories about Pete Davidson’s dad passing on 9/11. I feel like I always see a story pop about him around this time. We know. Imagine constantly talking about one of the most traumatic events of your life right around the anniversary?? Imagine seeing all the news articles. Every. Single. Year.

If he volunteers information, that’s different. Other than that, can we stop bringing it up?

  20. Not gonna lie that would probably fuck me up for a very long time

  21. And he’s playing the Riyadh thing. People are funny.

  22. I was 4-years-old when my mum and I found out my dad had died via letter (it was 1990).

Adults are shitty and no one talked about mental health in the 90s early 2000#.

  23. I assume his father died when one of the planes hit. I’m not going to read the article article though to find out.
