  1. This is what happens when Trump packs the FBI with incompetent idiots.

  2. This is what happens when you fire the good agents over loyalty and hire a couple college drunks to steer the ship. Kash has made the whole process more difficult by muddying the water with incompetence.

  3. I feel bad for his kids, that’s about it.

He saw how his and his buddies’ rhetoric has gotten us killed in Walmart, grocery stores, mosques, synagogues, churches and has led to an increase in hate crimes and people joining hate groups and kept fanning the flames. Shitting on MLK’s legacy and saying the Civil Rights Act was a mistake and claiming that structural inequality is really the product of defects in my culture and nothing more. I am not going to mourn a man who saw me as less than and told his followers that my community degrades this country. I feel bad for his children and the spectators who are all going to be scarred for life. I hope they punish the one who pulled the trigger only for law and order’s sake and nothing else.

  4. If there was ever a false flag…

Or our current government is truly incompetent

  5. Change the agency name to the Department of Bad Ass Alpha Males.

    Maybe that will help.

  6. They are frothing for this to be a trans POC. But, based on the video of the suspect, it looks like the shot came from a cracker barrel.

  7. This entire case is fucked.

First off, I’m guessing there’s nobody who actually saw the shooter take the shot. Now, we might have footage of him climbing down off the roof, but that doesn’t prove he pulled the trigger, even if were were able to make out his face.

Next, in all the footage we’ve seen of him, he doesn’t have a long gun. I’ve heard it said that they think it was stuffed down his pants leg, to which I’d ask how exactly he managed to climb the steps up to where he needed to get onto the roof. This seems to be based off the fact that he was limping on the doorbell cameras, but I’d argue that he probably injured his leg jumping down off the roof. But it doesn’t matter: as far as I’m aware, there is no photo evidence that put the gun in the man’s hands.

They found a gun in a wooded area where they think the shooter probably fled, wrapped in a towel. Assuming he was as careful concealing the crime as he was in committing it, there will be no prints on that gun. In fact, I suspect if they had usable fingerprints, there’d have been a BOLO issued by now.

So that leaves DNA, which is a problem. DNA, if there is any, can put the gun in the shooter’s hands, but doesn’t prove he fired it, or when he held it.

I don’t know if they’ll ever find this guy. At this point I suspect not. But if it ever goes to trial, they’d better come with more than it seems like they’ve got now.

  8. Yesterday, after the false persons-of-interest stuff, I was kind of thinking that it sounded like there were a lot of clues, shoe print, palm print, some surveillance video and stills … now it seems like the trail is chilling.

    > The first 48 hours are critical because crucial evidence can be lost, suspects can flee, and witnesses’ memories can fade, drastically reducing the chances of solving a crime, especially for homicides and vulnerable missing persons cases. This initial period is a race against time to collect immediate evidence, establish leads, interview witnesses while information is fresh, and locate the victim or a suspect before time and distance make the task impossible.

  9. It’s entirely possible they don’t want to find him. If the killer is a disillusioned MAGA loyalist whose red line was when Charlie decided to go with Trump on Epstein and not demanding they released the files. It’s better he not be found and they can continue to blame the left.

  10. Sounds like a inside operation. Wasn’t Kirk pushing for the release of the Trump files.

  11. The good FBI agents are using black markers to blot out Trump’s name in the Epstein Files.

  12. Maybe they could have a podcast about it lol 😂 fucking idiots…

  13. Podcast bro attempts to catch a reasonably competent murderer

    Cue benny Hill theme tune

  14. Man, these Republican law enforcement officials sure are soft on crime… are they sending in the national guard?

  15. inept cops. no big story. but what about the epstein client list?

  16. Well yeah this entire administration is like trying to cram 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag. Keystone cops

  17. Trump had Kirk killed because he called for the release of Epstein files. His death is handy false flag to distract the base from his failures and unite them in outrage

  18. I’ll keep saying this…. the longer it takes, the more and more that conspiracy theories are going to run insane

Which is really handy if you’re trying to distract from the President being best buddies with a pedo

  19. Why don’t they just run his forearm imprint through the National forearm database already?

Like damn it ain’t that hard 🙄

  20. Just going to note that there will be no fact based counter to the wild right-wing finger pointing as long as the shooter remains unknown. So there is a very good reason for the right-wing DOJ to be “deliberately incompetent.”

I’m just noting a motivation that is in sync with observed actions, not saying i have proof.

  21. And right wingers will just use this to call for more violence against trans people. Fucking perfect.

  22. As soon as they realized the shooter was right wing, they stopped trying. Catching him would hurt the GOP outrage machine.

  23. For decades the right has been crying about affirmative action, about how the only factor should be merit, because otherwise you’ll wind up with a worse candidate.

Remember? They vilified so-called “identity politics” all day, every day, twice on Sunday.

Now *here they are* crying about the plight of the white race (identity politics), and baffled as to why they don’t have anyone competent after purging the agencies on the basis of party loyalty.

Sweet baby Jesus on a greased-up pogo stick, denial ain’t just a River in Egypt.

  24. 3 things are possible here –

    1. the shooter is a super Jason Bourne type pro and nobody will ever find him.

    2. The cops are just incompetent

    3. It’s a false flag.

I am leaning towards 2 and maybe 3.

  25. And now tbd whole Cabinet knows the private plane could land anytime and flag Eagle shirt guy could pop out and then …. So better toe the line on Epstein

  26. Anyone else worried they’re just going to arrest a random trans person?

  27. Fascist movements tend to struggle because their leaders prize loyalty above competence.

We’re also lucky Trump and his dipshit allies are the stupidest fucks in America or we’d be in far worse shape than we’re in.

  28. Kash Patel is over his head. He’s not a cop, never been a cop, and has no idea what he’s doing. To make matters worse, he fired a lot of people who actually did know what they were doing.

  29. I do wonder what value the Director and Assistant Director of the FBI are bringing to this effort to find the shooter. Neither seem to have any experience in “man hunts” (well, in much less anything else the holders of the positions historically bring to these roles).

  30. Well, you see, the cops in Utah are only trained in protecting the interests of the Mormon church. This was quite a ways outside their wheel-house.

  31. Random killings are hard to track specially the distance from the crime scene. If he’s getting caught it’s because he told someone or someone who knows him suspect’s him.

  32. Maybe making a couple of podcasters the 2 highest ranking FBI officials wasn’t the greatest idea

  33. Kirk was turning people against Trump over Epstein and got silenced. They don’t want to find the shooter. They don’t want to find the guy that killed Epstein either.

  34. You mean to tell me the guy with his own personal security detail, surrounded by cops, who said you could stop school shootings by having more security got shot at a…school?

  35. Many competent federal agents were fired by this administration, and replaced by loyalists who were totally inexperienced. Thus, they will have a tough time solving crimes.

  36. If they dont catch him, he can be whoever they need him to be.
