I can understand why people would complain about people using plastic grass around houses, but using plastic grass in a play area is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.
Rubber chippings? Bark? Better options I think exist than plastic grass.

Well golly it’s a real shame that natural grass doesn’t have such climate saving cutting edge technology.
