  1. Hello OP, could you please link a source please for approval? thank you

  2. I love the robot on the front patio 😀 All in all entire thing looks a bit like it was designed by David Černý haha. Edit: oh lol, it *was* designed by Černý, I didn’t know that when I wrote my comment.

  3. Is this the tower of the trickster moon God? Are they preparing for the Termina festival?

  4. I just heard it on the radio and thought it sounds really cool but it would appear that my imagination is a better architect

  5. Finally something cool is to be built in Prague. NIMBY sentiment is really holding this city back. That and all the commie brutalist buildings that age worse than milk.

  6. that ship (?) is going to be a popular pigeon hotel 😀

what’s up with the robot patrolling the streets though?

  7. How come it’s considered “contruction” when all you do is move a tanker shipwreck to the center of an historic city…

  8. I don’t understand 😭 is the building an upright ship? what is that there for?

  9. And here I was expecting the city of Prague to approve this construction in Ulaanbaatar

  10. I think I understand. It is striking. it strikes by absurdity.

  11. As long as that building is away from Mala Strana, ok. But don’t ruin that wonderful historical part of Prague with that thing.

  12. 125m high. Still impressive, but for some reason I imagined it to be higher if it is so promoted. It will be not even top 20 in central Europe.

  13. I see that Czechs are very attached to maritime traditions. They even greet each other like sailors, saying “Ahoy.”

  14. Is the ‘ship’ a building (will people live/work there) or a sculpture?

  15. I like the ship idea, but what a sad looking neighborhood

  16. I like it. The building itself is outside of historical city centre in the part of prague which is full of commie blocks. The wreckage itself is basically walkable horizontal garden.
Maybe we should bring back Kaplickys ,,blob” library too.

  17. Apparently, not only the tallest but the ugliest too lol

  18. Just Prague’s luck. Build a shiny new building and of course a ship promptly crashes into it.

  19. If it’s a residential building, getting the apartment right next to the sculpture must suck lol. There goes your view and natural sunlight.

  20. Have they considered… not having a ship in their block of flats?

  21. That is a building of titanic proportions. It would completely wreck the skyline.

  22. It simply is hideous, its one thing to look at an image from your phone and say ”yay this looks super cool!” . Another is living close to that…thing

  23. I am surprised no one mentioned yet that it looks like the Titanic sinking.

  24. I like it. Better than just a plain gray box that we got so used to.

  25. As a designer, I blown away by the idea of it, like just coming up with this is impressive.
But as a person, wtf is going on…

Pieces like this are an emphasis, diversion, breaking the mould, but this standing by itself, with by the looks of it, nothing to bounce its weirdness/energy off is just, absurd.

Ye, its gonna be a landmark, but not the one they will want.
The wreck, skytanic, rust building… its going to be a mess

  26. This is going to confuse lot of archeologists in the distant future.
