  1. The very fact that Donald Trump assumes he knows more about the attack than the Polish government, which directly defended itself against the attack, shows how absurd this situation is.

    This is called populism, arrogance, and ignorance.

  5. Don’t forget Germany. They already announced to double the number of jets fly in Poland. Also they are already stationed there with their Patriot system and 100 soldiers at the Polish/Ukrainian in Rzeszow, where all the military equipment crosses the Ukrainian border and is therefore a high prio target. You know how important and rare the Patriots are. It’s the best AA system Nato has and cost over 1 billion PLN. But the PiS and state media is still attacking Germany. Only today I read some politican demand reparations again. I would say that is not the right time to address that.

  10. US and the West’s relationship with it are fkd. Anything beneficial from the US for Europe and other democracies are purely transactional from now on. With the pace of the destruction of independent institutions and imposition of the courts, I personally don’t see there being an election in 2028. If there is, it won’t be legitimate. Look at actions not words. Trump says a lot about stuff that gives the democratic mind some glimmer of hope. However, the ultimate actions of everything thus far show how he will turn the US into a police state and let other authoritarian countries get their own way. That’s what they do; stick together because they all fear losing individual power. Ultimately Europe have no choice but to appease US and try to delay things. Europe may become infected from East and West. A very dark time indeed.

  25. Poland is only now learning that under Donald Trump the USA is foolish to rely on the USA as an ally.

    If Putin offers Donald something valuable, or even just some underage girls, Trump will gladly let Russia partition Poland again .

  30. I am an American and so disappointed with our response to this. It’s not surprising because Trump is Putin’s bitch but I hoped everyone around him would force some action. My wife is Polish and her entire family still lives there and it terrifies me to think they could be in danger.
