Cycling on Ireland roads requires some manly balls. I haven’t dared to leave the Dublin area on a bicycle because who would feed my cats after I die.
I had to install an actioncam on my bike because holy shit the hate is real.
Perhaps leave the bike lanes planning to people who do not actively fucking hate cyclists?
No deterrent for bad driving, until Gardai get their shit together this will happen again and again.
Gardai themselves have shown they have no interest in policing our roads so where does that leave us? A shitshow with uninsured/unlicensed/drunk/drugged/incompetent drivers & the state employed people responsible for preventing this situation literally couldn’t be arsed with it.
RSA disbanded as not being fit for purpose, the reason for this? RSA are not enforcers, Gardai are the enforcers but they would rather hoover up the overtime doing any other stuff than making our roads safer.
