There’s suddenly a lot of British “aid workers” and “ex-servicemen” in Ukraine.
It’d be great if outfits like Sourcewatch and NGOWatch were still going and properly independent because the world of NGOs is becoming ever more murky and difficult to properly monitor. Very difficult to ascertain exactly who this group are, how they are funded or what their genuine mission is, but they are in coalition with groups which seem to be deeply embedded with the US military so exactly what sort of humanitarian aid they were involved with is a valid question. Of course, they maybe entirely legit and just got swept up in a broader operation, or they may have been taken as a point of leverage or purely maliciously, but these things are not always as they seem.
