Intuitive Machines “Odysseus” was the first and landed in Feb 2024, Firefly Aerospaces Blue Ghost landed in March, so yeah this article is just months old. But still, good to remember if you didn’t hear about it.

For reasons of stupidity I read the title as “first private American spacecraft” and was like, hold on a second…

LOL, even the Press Release that the new article references is from March.

  3. I don’t think this counts as ‘news’ when it was half a year ago.

  4. It was mine. I sent it, I do what I want and you can’t stop me.

  5. I confirm the ads on that link made it too unbearable to bother reading 😞

  6. This company is near where I live and we get lots of firefly employees at the cafe/brewery I work at!

  7. The Moon is back, baby! Been hiding in plane sight for long time now, having to listen to folks talk sh$t, sayin nobody has visited EVER! Now people are talking about Moon helium! This is ‘made of cheese’ big news! Go Moon!

  8. Well these were extremely underplayed in the media. I assume because noone wants to confront the backlash for space privatisation so they don’t want to advertise it.

I wonder how long it will be before giant ‘coca cola’ satellites.

  9. Why is helium three so rare on earth, but abundant on the moon?

  10. Occurred on March 2, 2025. This is not relevant. This was part of CLPS which was awarded by NASA. Blue Ghost also contained scientific equipment from NASA.

  11. I’m confused, this article just came out today, but Mission 1 landed on March 2nd? Am I missing something? This Sept article even links back to the March press release. Why are they just publishing this now?

  12. Award for world’s most annoying mobile version of a website.

  13. Strange I hadn’t heard about this, yet if Musk even goes near a rocket it’s breaking news with a live update feed.

  14. Yeah private companies wanting to go to the moon probably don’t have good intentions.

  15. this happened in March. why is it being reported as new?

  16. It landed on “Mons Latreille in Mare Crisium on the Moon’s near side” that’s just 2 block away from my apartment on the moon 🌙

  17. My name is Peter Weyland, and if you’ll indulge me I’d like to change the world

  18. This happened in March. Why are we only hearing about it now?

  19. GGs bro, I don’t like it here anymore either

  20. But what everyone really wants to know is when Musk is leaving for Mars.
