Faeser recommends to stockpile food

I find it inappropriate to say something like this in current situation. Especially while knowing Germans love scavenging food (or toiler paper) from shops. Am I the only one thinking this was a fool’s move? Is there something I don’t understand?

I understand everybody should have a little bit of food at home, but putting it like this the official way is in my point of view not what Germany needs.
