  2. The Chinese get a lot of grief and conspiracy. However they have single handedly created the mass green energy industry.

    You can say all you want about global warming being a hoax but depending on Putin, Trump and the Middle East for the vast majority of your energy needs is a total disaster for Europe in the long term.

    Europe needs to invest the maximum possible in wind and (Chinese) solar to reduce this dependency. Once you have the solar panels you essentially have 30 years of use. With gas you have 4-6 months of reserves and then you’re left begging Putin for a hot shower.

    The future with batteries and perhaps sand batteries for storing excess electricity looks pretty bright to me.

  3. To Americans and Europeans who haven’t made the switch but are thinking about it, make the switch. The more people choose hybrids and EVs, the more the market has to follow. I made the switch to hybrid and will switch to EV asap, probably within 6 monthd

  5. Lets see, since most of it made there its cheap to buy and use. What else, yeah the government pushes and buys it..

    China is authoritative government and can say anything and you have to buy it. Also the government controls the information so you have to believe it.
    They don’t really care about the environment, if you see how and where solar is placed buy putting it all over mountain sides and destroying the area where they placed it.

  8. China is also leading the export race for renewables and EVs. While less noticeable in the US, much of the world wants to stop paying high amounts for fossil fuel imports. India, Brazil, Australia, Pakistan and Europe are a few large examples where solar, EVs and wind are the trend.

    As a global citizen, this is very good news to combat CO2 emissions.

  13. China is not f’n around. The renewable energy transition + combustion engine to electric battery is massive. Similar to the oil/gasoline vehicles boom.

    These type of big technology changes are rare, but can redefine your region’s entire future if you take advantage of it and aim to be a leader in it for their home and also to supply it too. It’s a massive win win. It’s like turning into saudi arabia but instead of oil, its renewable energy.

    China has been pouring resources into making sure it will be a leader in renewables energy generation, batteries and electric vehicles. Meanwhile, the US is just milking the old oil cow instead.
