The Turkish basketball federation removed a provocative social media post on Saturday after the Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) protested.
The post showed Turkish player Cedi Osman dunking and Greece’s Giannis Antetokounmpo praying, captioned “No Mercy,” following Turkey’s EuroBasket semifinal win over Greece.
EOK lodged an official complaint, and Turkey’s federation apologized, claiming the post was made without its knowledge or approval. The federation then ordered it taken down.
