  8. This will keep happening if there is no proper response. Shooting the cheap drones down is not enough, Europe should be more proactive and start implementing no-fly zone to western Ukraine and shoot down all Russian missiles and drones long before they reach the border. That would help Ukraine and also give Europe more experience in handling these threats.

    And then NATO will do basically nothing and Putin will feel more emboldened since he just wants to see how far he can get away with testing the waters…

  12. It is about time we establish a “no fly zone” in Ukranian space.

    Just to help out the Russians. To fix any mistakes that might happen.

    Shooting down drones and missles has the benefit of not actually firing a single shot against the Russian army, just their ordinance.

  14. The only option is to raise the price for Moscow drastically: Stop all cross-border traffic to Russia & Belarus, end all imports immediately, close every pipeline, stop the shadow fleet and block all ships without proper insurance from entering the baltic sea.

  15. When a russian military jet violated Turkey’s border in 2015 they shot it down immediately. Russia’s response was extremely powerful… They banned Turkey’s tomatoes! At least for a while.

Could be to escalate everything. “they forced us to use nukes” or to really get attacked by NATO so they can say they lost against bad NATO and not the small and weak “we get it in 3 days” Ukraine. Or they want NATO to react while daddy Putin tells his boy diaper Donny to don’t dare to do something.

  21. I like that the same people say Trump is a Russian asset but also insist Putin will never attack NATO because of the consequences. Only one of those statements can be true, and European governments need to figure out which one — fast.

    If I were Putin and couldn’t stop the war machine (which we talk about a lot), I were stuck in a stalemate in Ukraine, the second-largest economy was backing me, and I had the U.S. president in my pocket, the course of action would be obvious. Especially since I have plot armor, even if my new endeavor failed I could threaten nuclear annihilation, and in the worst case I’d remain safe inside my borders and blame Europe for everything.

    People keep thinking that Ukraine is in the current situation because they were somehow provoking Russia or ramping up the situation. It’s insane. Ukraine is here exactly because of the same behavior of not pushing back. Not that we had the capability to do so. Turkey shot the bastards down and what happened? Most cordial relationship ever.

  28. This is so fucking stupid. We are launching jets to fight drones who crash in the middle of nowhere. Would we actually shoot down much that was actually targeted at population?

    The amount of air defense Ukraine has means we could easily establish a no-fly zone above eastern Ukraine without risking to kill a single Russian and shoot down any drones that enter eastern Ukraine. THAT would be the appropriate response.

  29. The thing is Nato wont be proactive so Russia can test as much as they want in any direction they want, until they’ve tested enough and try a big attack. That will be the time Europe awakes and even more history happens. Until then I just try to relax, I fear there are alot of sleepless nights ahead
