I’m so tired of sexism being brushed off as a non-issue in this country. It shouldn’t even be a row – being a dick to someone for a trait they cannot control (gender, sexual orientation, race…) is just a really shitty thing to do.
Honestly, it doesn’t matter what gender the human the hands belong to is, nobody should have to be worried about being groped against their will in any setting – it’s just particularly disgusting for this to be seen as the norm in workplaces, which can’t generally be avoided by most people.
One of the suggested contributions to this behaviour mentioned in the article is alcohol. Maybe the politicians shouldn’t have their bar subsidised?
Not sure what we can do about the MPs thinking they’re gods gift, as I’m not sure there’s a cure when someone’s head goes that far up their own arse.
intersting that no one has seemed to consider the possibilitiy she’s just stiring things up in order to get some free electoral .p.r. as the, “crusading moral candidate”. In actuality she probably doesn’t give a toss much like most wouldn’t if the genders were swapped.
