Former Dutch ambassador at protest in The Hague: It is a great insult to NATO to call the KLA a criminal organization
Former Dutch ambassador to Kosovo, Robert Bosch, said it is a “great insult to NATO” to call the “KLA a contractual organization.”
Bosch, who served in Kosovo at the time the Special Court was established, where former KLA leaders are now being tried, participated in today’s protest held in a park in The Hague near the court.
He said that he was then instructed by the Netherlands to press for the establishment of the Special Court.
He said he didn’t like this idea.
Bosch told the protesters that he did not like this idea “because it seemed absurd to me that Serbs would not be tried by this court, but I did my job.”
“Calling the KLA a criminal organization is a great insult to NATO because NATO does not cooperate with criminal organizations,” he said, referring to the charges by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office against former KLA leaders.
