I think those are actually killing blows from the pick of a warhammer or halberd style weapon. It tracks more with the context of where the skull was found, the tactics and equipment of the Germans/ Danes, and the wounds themselves. It is more evident in teal life than in pictures. The mercenaries would often cut the legs of the swedish peasant soldiers and then execute them as they marched over them.

Having visited the Visby museum recently there is no proof that he died from the arrows to the head. They were just found next to the skull. It’s more likely that the wounds were caused by warhammers.
The exhibitors decided to display the arrowhead in the skull.
Brutal event, lots farmers were slaughtered by the invading Danes outside the city walls. The peasant army was not allowed to enter and defend from within the city.
Den här skallen är missvisande. Pilarna limmades dit i efterhand då de ansågs passa i de fyrkantiga hålen i skallens bakhuvud men projektilskador skapar inte så pass fina hål. I verkligheten blev individen antagligen ihjälslagen med en krigshacka.
Är det någon slags jätte som avfyrat de pilarna? Du fattar väl att inga pilspetsar är så stora?
