Cocaine: the hidden scourge of schoolboy rugby in Ireland

  1. it’s endemic and creating big problems in Ireland that are only going to get bigger.

now wait for loads of comments saying legalization is the answer and coke is no worse than alcohol/nicotine.

    1) coke is pretty easy to get hold of these days but legalizing it and making it even easier to get will be a disaster.

    2) coke is way more dangerous on a per capita basis. maybe alcohol/nicotine causes more problems because way more people are exposed to them.

I don’t have the solution but legalization definitely isn’t it

  2. I’m not saying people should take cocaine but articles written by people who’ve never taken anything are always a bit pointless. He’s acting as if he’d taken that one line in Hawaii he would have become addicted and his life would have spiralled out of control

  3. Don’t see how it’s related to rugby in any way at all..

Just young lads opting for coke/md/ket in general. Not just girls avoiding alcohol for aesthetic reasons.. all young people do. Hardly surprising considering pressures of social media these days.

  4. Wait til Neil finds out about non fee paying schools. The country is awash with coke and Neil wants people to start paying attention now because it effects those nearest and dearest to him.
