I wonder if Germany would send Helmets?
The best defence is a forward defence.
That headline was a bit confusing. I thought it was saying that UK wouldnt help Finland and Sweden defend themselves, that that would be “Inconceivable”. But reading the article cleared it out the defence minister said it would be inconceivable that Britain wouldnt help Sweden and Finland defend themselves.
Could be just me and my reading comprehension.
Doubt you guys would need help but glad to hear we would support you guys regardless.
The UK isn’t retreating from the world and abandoning its European allies? Say it ain’t so!
Finland and Sweden are not in NATO.
But we all know it wouldn’t matter.
Them joining now is just a formality.
I wonder why Germany, UK… are promising to protect Finland, a non Nato member but wouldn’t extend the protection to Ukraine?
Thankful but would be great if we are not encouraged to just expect help from others without having to help them in turn. It’s essentially an argument against NATO membership that we will be helped anyway. Should have the same expectations of us as anyone else. Provide support, get support.
