Looks like some flour moth larva. Put some traps up and put your food in closeable containers.
It’s a Lebensmittelmottenlarve (moth larvae). You need to find the “infected” food and throw it away, ALL of it. If it’s just 1-2 larvae, some stick pads may suffice. Otherwise, save some time and order Schlupfwespen to get rid of the moths.
They look like the larvae of “Mehlmotten” (Pantry/flour moths). Look in everything that contains either cereals (bread, oats, müsli…) or is some kind of powder (? tea, spices, ground nuts) for moths or their webs. You need to throw these out immediately, clean everything and it’s best to store all foodstuff in airtight containers…
Most likely these are larvae of food moths. You should check all your dry foods, especially flour, nuts, cereals, tea. If you find anything throw away the whole package. Clean your cabinets thoroughly.
Then get „Schlupfwespen Larven“ the come in little cards that you place in your drawers and cabinets. They will eat the eggs of those moths.
Make sure to remove all larvae you find now. And moths you will find within the next 1-3 weeks. Also kill them. Set up some pheromone traps which will attract the males – tro prevent further offspring.
looks like the larva of a flour moth. check out online for a complete list but every food item including coffee and tea, bread, noodles, rice needs to be sealed in an airtight jar. they eat through plastic even when sealed fresh f rom the supermarket.
if the are already crawling on the walls and ceiling you’ve got a pretty heavy infestation, removing cabinets and clearing in every crevice might be necessary. if nothing else helps get a professional
Looks like a maggot.
You get rid by cleaning your kitchen and identifying the place they come from. This could be either something rotting or some contaminated food like a bag of rice (or anything else).
Maybe anybody knows what kind of maggot this is, this could help to narrow down the source.
That looks like a pantry moth larvae. You likely have many more somewhere. They primarily feed off stored dry food products (flour, cereal, rice, nuts, dried fruits, chocolate, pet food, etc). Throw away all sorts of foods that are in open containers (they easily eat through plastic bags) and if they continue to appear in your kitchen get a parasitic wasp. Good luck.
Food moths. They live in dry food like cereals, wheat, herbs, oat flakes and so on. They can eat through plastic bags. You got them propably from a contaminated food producht from the supermarket.
Check all your inventory, throw everthing away that looks even remotely suspicious, clean out everything with vinegar, You can buy sticky traps for them. Put these into your cuppboard for a few weeks and change them on a regular base.
These pesky insects are a pain and hard to get rid of.
Time to throw out all the dry foods and not buy new ones for a couple weeks. Even freshly bought stuff might get infested because they can eat through plastic packaging. They even infest things you wouldn’t expect like cocoa powder or chocolate.
That little guy is a pantry moth larva (aka Indian meal moth). Congrats, you’ve unlocked bonus protein in your flour.
How to tell your food’s infested:
– Weird webbing or silk threads in flour/rice/cereal.
– Clumpy bits that shouldn’t be clumpy.
– Tiny cocoons/larvae hanging out in the corners of bags or jars.
– Bonus round: random moths flying around your kitchen at night.
How to get rid of them:
– Toss anything that looks even slightly sus. Don’t overthink it, just bin it.
– Empty your cupboard, vacuum every crack, wipe it down like you’re trying to erase a crime scene.
– Put your good stuff in airtight glass or plastic containers, cardboard and thin plastic bags are basically open invitations.
– Grab some pheromone traps to lure in the horny adults and keep tabs on the situation. But notice the traps are only an indication, usually they are not gone.
– If you wanna go full nature-documentary: get some trichogramma wasps. They’re tiny, harmless to humans, but absolute murder machines for moth eggs. Once the wasps do their job, they just disappear.
Do all that and they’ll usually disappear in a few weeks. Until then: welcome to the circle of life, kitchen edition.
Had hundreds of those from a fallen over cereal box that I forgot. Find the source, get rid of it and be free of them. You could also feed them to your pet lizard.
Geht schlupfwespen. It’s the only thing that worked when my parents had them.
Flour moth, get the exterminators or factory reset all your kitchen food that has flour, is powder based or is stored in plastic
Or get a parasitic moth idk
People already have you the answers of what they are and what to do but I’ve got one other tidbit to add. If your cabinets have holes forb the pegs for adjustable shelves check that those aren’t covered in a cocoon like material. I’ve had times where we cleared out the cabinet, everything got better, then new ones had been hiding in those holes as larvae and came out and reinfested our stuff. A chop stick should be fine for poking the holes if you find more in them.
As everyone is saying really inspect every food item you have. If there is anything with any residue throw it really all away. You have to really look at everything. We removed all drawers and cleaned like maniacs to get rid of them. Oh and for us (we had them twice unfortunately) the source was always nuts
Clean your pantry, buy pheromon traps (for the males) and enough schlupfwespen.
