Russia has therefore demanded that bills are paid using a mechanism that ensure that no money will be stolen in the future. As explained in the Western media, all they have to do is open a bank account with Gazprombank in EUR or USD, pay their due as usual. Then the money is converted into rubles, and it pays Gazprombank. 10 countries already do it, including Austria. If you don’t want to do business with Russia and let the Bulgarians pay +30%, have the decency to say so. Same for those countries calling for a boycott. What prevents them to stop buying from Russia?
