‘Tensions between the US and Venezuela continue to play out at sea’ • FRANCE 24 English

Tensions between Venezuela and the US continue to play out at sea with the US accusing two armed Venezuelan F-16 fighter jets like these ones of flying over a US Navy ship. The Department of Defense called the move highly provocative and an attempt to interfere with counter narcotics operations. Earlier this week, the US killed 11 people in a military strike against a suspected drug vessel that the Trump administration said was linked to the trendy Ragua gang, an act that legal experts say may have violated international law. The US Secretary of Defense has since doubled down on the decision. We smoked a drug boat and there’s 11 narot terrorists at the bottom of the ocean and when other people try to do that, they’re going to meet the same fate. These escalations come amid a US military buildup in the Caribbean, part of the president’s crackdown on criminal cartels in Latin America. It was announced Friday that Trump will even be sending 10 F-35 fighter jets to Puerto Rico to bolster military operations. And on a trip to Ecuador, the Secretary of State announced $20 million in funding to help the country fight gangs at home. Venezuela, however, has been less willing to cooperate, angered by the US’s increased military presence off its coast. Its leader, Nicholas Maduro, has instead called for a nationwide militia enlistment campaign and says the new recruits are starting their training this week. We are not idiots. We have never been and we will never be. We are facing extremist forces from the north, Nazi extremists, And humanity must know this. The US calls Maduro a drug trafficker and a terrorist. Last month, it doubled its reward for his arrest to $50 million.

  1. Venasula needs to take advantage of this opportunity quickly. They won't get another chance for regime change. I'm so proud of Donald Trump. I never thought I'd live to see the day a leader anywhere would seriously take on the cartel.

  2. There are no "tensions", the United States is operating in International waters. Pirates, Drug Traffickers and other international criminal organizations should now live in fear. Nothing to do with the country of Venezuela, unless they are somehow associates with trans-national criminal organizations.

  3. Waist of money ! Just put the drugs at the Hospital and sick people can get what they need ! No money in drugs, they will eat their own drugs. The cartels will die with no shots fired !

  4. Clementine Caligula is just mad his attempts at regime change in Venezuela FAILED PATHETICALLY 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙄
