putin is in a catch 22, to fix the problem he needs to finish the war, but when he ends the war he is finished.
Putin own the white house. It’s sadly not nothing.
He might soon own other democraty in Europe. This is really the biggest threat Russia is displaying.
This is wrong. They have successfully executed one specific strategy. (Besides controlling their own population)
He is not.
1. 6 mln Ukrainians fled the country, and would never come back. Mostly those who were future of this country – women and children. Demographically we would never recover from this, and more will left whenever conflict froze. Young people are leaving Ukraine.
So in long term, he destroyed Ukraine.
2. He has land bridge into Crimea.
3. Ukraine stucked in limbo between west and Russia even more – NATO is ok with that since Ukraine wouldn’t join it’s ranks because it has 20% territory occupied with no prospect of de-occupation.
EU under big question since, we would face big resistance on our membership when this question will be risen.
Finns maybe feeling good because jumped into NATO using our war as pretext, and now even more protected.
4. Rift between EU-US became more larger.
5. He has US as his semi-quasi ally.
So, yeah, this guy is somewhat deluded.
Nope, he is winning the information war. More and more pro Russian bio bots arise.
I think he’s using the wrong word. He’s talking about geopolitical goals, and yes, Russia did fail them.
When it comes to strategic ones, it did fail most of its major ones as well, but it did achieve some,
like securing a water flow for Crimea’s agriculture, and also a land bridge to supply the peninsula.
The Finish President has some valid points about defense spending, but when it comes to western unity I’m like, did he skip work on those days when Trump threatened to invade Denmark and Canada?
