WANA (Sep 15) – The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Denmark has issued an official letter to the Danish daily Kristeligt Dagblad, condemning its recent editorial that described the unlawful attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities as a “success.” The Embassy denounced the article as a “dangerous and irresponsible glorification of criminal aggression.”

In the letter addressed to the newspaper’s editors, the Embassy wrote:

> “We express our outrage, indignation, and disbelief regarding your characterization of the unlawful military attack on our nuclear facilities as ‘a major success and achievement’ for Donald Trump. This is not journalism; this is a dangerous and irresponsible glorification of criminal aggression that blatantly disregards international law, fundamental facts, and human safety.”

The letter stressed that the editorial of September 5, 2025, recognized “an act of war—an unprovoked attack on safeguarded nuclear infrastructure—as an achievement,” describing it as a “disastrous misjudgment.” It then set out three key points:

1. Iran’s compliance with international obligations: As a committed member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Iran has consistently pursued peaceful nuclear activities under the strictest monitoring regime of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), with no evidence ever presented of diversion toward military purposes.

2. Violation of international law: The recent military strike was a unilateral and aggressive act that violated the UN Charter and fundamental principles of international law.

3. Immoral glorification: Crediting Donald Trump with this attack amounts to what the Embassy called a “cowardly immorality,” as the assault was carried out remotely with long-range weapons, exposing countless civilians to the risk of a nuclear catastrophe.

The letter further stated: “By presenting this aggression in a positive light, your newspaper has become an advocate of the assault. You have insulted both the Iranian people and the inspectors of the IAEA by rejecting verified findings. You have undermined the very international institutions designed to safeguard global security. Worst of all, you have shown a callous disregard for the lives placed at risk by the potential radiological consequences of such attacks.”

The Embassy underscored that the proper response to such actions is not praise but global condemnation and accountability for the perpetrators. It also called on Kristeligt Dagblad to uphold journalistic integrity and fairness by issuing a formal apology and publishing Iran’s perspective prominently for the public record.
