  1. “According to the data collected, the U.S. remains the largest current supporter of Ukraine, with the equivalent of 10.3 billion euros since the end of January, and has already announced the next significant increase in its commitment. All EU countries combined, including funds pledged by EU institutions and the European Investment Bank, now total 12.8 billion euros.”

**BTW,this was before Biden proposed another 30 bilion $ in aid to Ukraine**

it is entirely possible that total financial, humanitarian and military aid received or promised to Ukraine exceeds 60 bilion euros

  2. I keep wondering why Romania is keeping such a low key. After Poland, we probably hate Russia the most.

It’s either covert help, or we’re walking a fine line for Moldova

  3. The [report itself – PDF](https://www.ifw-kiel.de/fileadmin/Dateiverwaltung/IfW-Publications/-ifw/Kiel_Working_Paper/2022/KWP_2218_Which_countries_help_Ukraine_and_how_/KWP_2218_v2_052022.pdf).

    >According to the dataset, total bilateral commitments3
announced by the EU and G7
governments amounts to €23.93 billion from January 24, 2022, until April 23, 2022. The United
States (US) is the largest bilateral supporter of Ukraine and accounts for more than 43% of this
total, with the equivalent of €10.31 billion committed. All EU country governments combined
committed a total of €7.08 billion, plus €2.22 billion from the EU Commission, and a further
€2 billion from the European Investment Bank. It is remarkable that the US alone is giving
almost the same as all the EU countries combined, in whose immediate neighborhood the war
is raging. Moreover, the commitments by the three Anglo-Saxon countries US, UK and Canada
easily exceed those of the EU countries.

  4. Spain can only support militarily wither with old rpgs …or cluster bombs forbidden by Geneva convention that we happily sell to Saudi Arabia.

  5. Wow! Canada gave more than Germany. Italy and France could also chip in a little bit more. They should at least afford this much as Poland gave. They are few times richer than Poland in nominal terms.
