So it has been happening for some time now but Galaxus almost always baits you into "flash" delivery or next day delivery or "this item is in our warehouse", "Saturday Delivery" and has been spectacularly failing with what they have promised themselves. Usually if before they provided a reliable service, then now they just bait you and then keep you waiting. With 5+ day "flash" delivery other marketplaces seem as much better choices.
Edit: It's been 4 full days and it hasn't even been shipped nor I got the code.

Yep and nothing is in stock
Dono
Galaxus Flash delivery isn’t even available where i live XD
Never used flash delivery anyway.
They are making some big changes in their Warehouse. Problems start to show.
Never had any problems tbh. Of course sometimes it takes a day longer or so but i don‘t mind it
Ordering most of my stuff from Brack for this reason. Even though they only advertise 5pm, more often than not when I order after 7pm, they still deliver it by next morning.
Yup. Has been that way for me in Eastern Switzerland for at least the past year.
Never had problems with flash delivery but got message that they are cancelling it as post cancels it with them
I just had this happen this Saturday morning where it was “order now for same day delivery by 5 pm” and it is now Monday evening and I have a Swiss post tracking number that says the item info was sent to the post. No sign of the package. I don’t really need it now, but I imagine that kind of thing could anger someone that ordered it expecting it to arrive Saturday.
I used Digitec for stuff I needed the next day. Then it happened too often that stuff got delayed. Now I order on Amazon.De, expedited delivery. If they miss the delivery, it is normally by a day and they refund the delivery. Sometimes you get a 10 Euro credit/gift card. I know the stuff is still late but Digitec doesn’t even bother returning my emails.
Give us today our daily Galaxus rant…
It’s very simple: Galaxus gets worse, because more and more people order at Galaxus.
That’s the normal run of all good things: first they are discovered by a small group of good people which are very excited.
Then those people (unfortunately) start to convince their parents, neighbours and cats to also use those good things.
And of course eventually it all goes to shit, because the good things can’t handle the influx of retarted plebs.
It’s the same with Galaxus and with most other things on the World Wide Web… heck, the World Wide Web itself is one of the best examples of thow something good went to shit after it became infested with plebs.
Same day or next day delivery is usually done by a company called Notime which will be closed at the end of the month. The service has been around for a long time but it’s not widely known and is not profitable for Post.
Might be a good service for very few reasons, but you might as well ask for slow delivery as it will be taken in charge by the Post and is only 2 or 3 day waiting time.
Flash delivery guaranteed that night. Got to the time and the delivery guy knocks on the door to say they could only deliver one item. Other main item was still in Zurich. Grrrrr
They were working on a warehouse extension / rebuild, they posted about it a month ago, and said that it would affect delivery times. Maybe they haven’t finished yet.
Potentially Multiple reasons behind that:
1. NoTime delivery partner is stopping its service soon, so it’s probably already worsening slowly.
2. Digitec/Galaxus has been for a while, and especially more in the last couple of months, expanding, building and modernizing it’s warehouse in Wohlen (alongside the Swiss Post). It’s supposed to be all done and in operation by end of October 2025. So that might explain the recent issues they have had with delivery estimates (of which I have also suffered from when ordering).
It’s obviously not a good service, so hopefully it’s due to the last two mentioned circumstances that it has gotten worse lately.
Galaxus wants to conquer Europe and is failing miserably, just like every other Migros business that has expanded into Europe. The result is that service in Switzerland is getting worse.
Yes, the only reliable way is to collect at shop… unfortunately
I’ve had this happen to me multiple times and I stopped buying from them save only specific types of items maybe once a year – in the end they’re just part of the Migros conglomerate, you’re not really supporting the “little local guy” unfortunately Amazon support, returns (no restocking fee as in Galaxus for opened items) and general delivery service is superior.
I now focus most of my support to local small businesses in the area such as coffee roasteries for example and electronic stores that are not part of that empire – [pc-ostschweiz.ch](https://www.pc-ostschweiz.ch) was one of these cases but it went under unfortunately – wonderful service.
First time? Never buy anything from Digitec if it’s not in stock.
i hear you and this is surely annoying but such quick deliveries should not even be allowed or cost a lot more.
we are supposed to be environmental and all, turn off lights and what not, ride bicycles – but items have to arrive before yesterday.
within a week should be the standard. so routing and the logistics of 3.5t vehicles can be optimised.
I have better experience with amazon Germany than with galaxus
Yep their service has declined so much. I still remember long time ago (a decade?) I think when they mostly shipped from their own warehouse, it was like a Swiss clock always the next day.
Then they started working with crappy lying suppliers, and these days even when you only order items from their own stock, they still often miss the target. Strong disappointment.
I know, this is planzer bashing, but so far Post delivered the package or provided a pick-up option on the announced date every single time. I think they’ll get rid of same day delivery soon, and they have a huge maintenance or outage in one of their fulfilment centers, but I haven’t noticed any delay in NW Switzerland yet.
Just make sure to use Post and disregard the automatically selected planzer option every time.
If it’s still delayed by a short time, you gotta bite the bullet. If it’s delayed for longer, just return the item or cancel the delivery via chat (be firm and stern) and buy somewhere else if there’s a better option. If not, you have to swallow it, there aren’t as many options. Digitec for price and (at least for me) speed, brack if Digitec doesn’t have the item, and local stores for speed, but the selection is small, you better have a standard-hobby.
If you pay extra for same day/flash delivery, you can obviously demand the money back.
They have been scamming Ticino since the beginning of times
Same, every single thing i‘m ordering from Digitec / Galaxus which should arrive the next day, will at least need two days. I started addressing it to their support every time, and now i‘m basically getting a small discount for every delivery.
Yea i ended up buying again and returning the firsr order and I still got it delivered quicker
Never had any issues with flash delivery (living close to Bern).
They have said in a blog that they’re expanding their warehouse and because of holidays as to why there is more delay in shipping: https://www.galaxus.ch/en/page/assumption-day-delivery-delay-due-to-public-holiday-and-warehouse-expansion-39129
I’ve never had problems with Galaxus. They are stellar in my book.
Digitec goes dropshipping. Fuck this shit
I’ve had a few problems with them this year, whereas before 2024 everything was fine.
Once it was a problem similar to yours. I ordered a product that was supposed to be shipped the same day before 5 p.m. Great, it was an urgent work matter and it was the only place I could find it.
But! Every day, the delivery date was pushed back: delivery in 2 days, delivery in 4 days, delivery in a week, etc. And all this without warning. I had to go to the product page to see the delivery times. I wrote to Galaxus, and it took several endless emails back and forth. I just wanted a delivery date, whether it was 2 days or 2 weeks.
No one could give me an answer.
Then I was told that suppliers have complete control over what is displayed and that Galaxus is not responsible. This is false, because the purchase contract as a customer is made with Galaxus, not the suppliers. Galaxus uses this fallacious argument to absolve itself of responsibility. Galaxus told me to contact the suppliers (lol). I did so because it was an important item, and I learned that the supplier never received an order from Galaxus.
Galaxus finally refunded me, but I had to fight for it and it took me a total of about 10 hours to sort everything out…
I have two other stories where Galaxus failed to take responsibility.
But for 98% of orders, there are no problems.
Wait until you want to return an item 😉
You pay the delivery and they deduct 10% of the price if you opened the package.
More than a decade long customer – now gone
There always have an excuse. New Waterhouse processes, software upgrade, not enough staff and other nonsense. I only order there if I absolutely have no alternatives.
I’ve never had Saturday delivery that worked. And in the last couple of months I don’t think I had any delivery at the promised time.
May happen but in such case you may return or ask for an additional discount.
Thats probably why they stop the flash delivery by the end of the month.
