I don’t understand how “an unprecedented level of violence by demonstrators protesting public health measures” can weaken the freedom of the press. I at least see the link regarding the subsidy (even if I doubt that the press is freer the more it is financed by the state) but this one really perplexes me.

That’s quite the moderate fall, considering what Switzerland does to journalists who write about finance leaks.
