This isnt a massive surprise. Huge gaps in peoples knowledge of history. Whats most disappointing is that as far as I am aware, its been in the curriculum for decades. I dont expect people to know about Holodomor, because it isn’t taught.

BTW, in the similar survey in the United States last year, almost half of Americans couldn’t name a single concentration camp and believed that substantially fewer than 6 million Jews were killed during the Holocaust

What did surprise me was I found out recently that the Jewish population in the run up to the war was around half a million, dropping to about a quarter of a million by the start of the war.
The German population was about 70-80m depending on which areas you include.
The other half know and are enraged it wasn’t more
Even fewer know of the Nakhba committed by Zionists in Palestine under the watch of Britain.
I’m sure plenty more wouldn’t have a clue of the deaths caused by Hitler, Stallin, Mao or Pol Pot.
