(4) Subject to the exceptions specified in subsection (5) of this section, any person who—
(e) wilfully disturbs a protected wild bird on or near a nest containing eggs or unflown young,
shall be guilty of an offence.
Put them in your beard.
Most of the times they won’t come back
I’d say cover it up and leave it.
Predators such as Pine Martens (native) and mink(invasive) will eat eggs out of nests.
What I’m saying is there is a chance they will get to it, as there would have been anyway had you never found it. So all you can do is leave it alone and hope for the best.
Is there an animal wildlife rescue you could call?

We recently broke up a decking and other few bits round the garden. After piling them up a few weeks ago we are only getting around to removal now.
Just came across these little fellas. Can we relocate this nest safely or are we stuck with the wood pile until these babies learn how to fly?
Edit: it’s been covered for a week and I have seen mama bird tending to the nest since so fingers crossed for hatching
Leave everything as it is until the chicks hatch and fly.
Wait until the babybirds learn how to fly.
The fact its now exposed would suggest the outcome won’t be positive I’m afraid. If they hatch they are easily accessible for predators
Moving it will result in the parents not returning
Leave it or move it and destroy it. They are your only options.
Please leave it. If possible build them a little roof or shelter. It is an offence to disturb it

I would go for an omelette
Charge them €1600 p/m
Oil up the pan and go to town man. Maybe throw in a little salt and pepper. Season with nest and enjoy!
Do ya have any bacon?
