Civil servant tells staff to STFU because they’re making him do work.
Used to work at NGI and met Sean Rainbird. Nice fella so this email feels a bit out of character, his hands must be tied. Probably could have worded the email better honestly too. I know a fair few people have left working at the gallery as a result of this, the place is in dire financial straits so expect more measures in order to make up costs.
I also wonder why they’d chose a food service company and not local/organic/artisan/gourmet provisioners.
Imagine being a civil servant and having to deal with these crusties
So is aramark hated just cos of their link to DP? Bit harsh. Maybe the asylum seekers think the food is grand
The obvious answer is to shut down the café completely, its not totally necessary in the first place, if people want a coffee after visiting they can go elsewhere.
Standard reminder Aramark also own avoca and chopped so shove your smug salad and overpriced chicken up your hole.

*Staff at the National Gallery of Ireland have been told by its director Sean Rainbird to “think hard” about raising issues related to the gallery’s activities following a controversy about it entering a contract with Aramark to run the facility’s cafe.*
*In an email to staff, Mr Rainbird wrote, “My conclusion is: if you think you have valid cause, think hard about the possible consequences before you initiate an action, and think carefully about how you raise the issue.”*
IMHO Mr Sean Rainbird sounds just a little cuntish here – if not threatening. What would he have thought about [Dunnes workers doing the right thing](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunnes_Stores_strike)?
