It’s cos they wouldn’t stop adding extension rooms, there’s an episode of Dibnah, where he explains it properly.
My sister lives in a wonky house and they are great… unless you try to get regular furniture to fit in them.
Want that wardrobe against the wall? Ok we can get part of it to do that but not all of it at the same time.
I can’t match your wonky house but I spotted some interesting angles on a flat the other day & couldn’t decide if it was charmingly kooky or structurally worrying (or both).
the eves are scary close to the road. i would want one of those bell bollards installed to bounce tall vehicles away.
Eh.. it’s stood for what? 400 years or so? It’s probably fine…
I once dated a woman who lived in a wonky little cottage, not quite as wonky as the one in the picture but wonky all the same. She adored her little wonky cottage.
I could tell the relationship was starting to go downwards when after about 3 months I at 6’3” was really starting to tire of repeatedly hitting my head on every door frame and when my politeness and acceptance of each incident was slowly being replaced by loud declarations of “for fuuucks sake, not again!”
Wanky house tbh.
That house is leaning in for a sniff
Recognised this one immediately – previous home of the town’s museum and one of about 30+ listed buildings in the one street!

What if….the house is actually straight but the land is wonky 😜
I used to live near quite a few but the one in Lavenham was a favourite until it became popular because of Harry Potter [the crooked house ](https://www.crookedhouselavenham.com/thecrookedhousestory)
