Is Moscow declaring war on NATO? • FRANCE 24 English

When NATO sent troops to shoot down drones in Poland’s airspace last week, it was the first time its war plananes had directly engaged with Russian weaponry since World War II. Poland’s foreign minister has told the Guardian the drones were not loaded with explosives. He believes the Kremlin was simply testing NATO’s responsiveness. Interestingly, they were all duds, which suggests to me that Russia tried to test us without starting a war. On Saturday, another breach of NATO airspace, a Russian drone detected in Romanian skies. Ukrainian President Vadom Zalinski said the incursion could not be a mistake and that it was an obvious expansion of the war by Russia. Moscow has not claimed either incursion was intentional. It has however taken aim at NATO. NATO is de facto involved in this war. NATO provides both indirect and direct support to the Keefe regime. Therefore, we can say with absolute certainty that NATO is at war with Russia. What is not certain is how much the Trump administration will continue supporting its NATO allies. When it comes to further sanctioning Russia, he says he is willing to, but he wants Europe to act as well. Look, Europe is they’re my friends, but they’re buying oil from Russia, so we can’t be expected to be the only ones that are, you know, full full boore. Trump has yet to follow through on any of his repeated threats to impose tougher measures on Moscow. and Alliance members have expressed uncertainty over his commitment to their defense in the incident of an actual attack.

The Kremlin declared on Monday that NATO is already at war with Russia, arguing that the alliance’s strong and unwavering support for Ukraine leaves no need for further evidence. This statement is likely to heighten concerns among NATO members, especially after recent Russian drone incursions into Polish and Romanian airspace. While Moscow has denied that these incidents were intentional, NATO allies are speculating about Russia’s motives, with many believing Russia is testing NATO’s readiness—and possibly the US’s commitment to European security.

  5. I'm an American, and from the words in this video it would seem you already know what there is to know about Trump. He can't be relied upon, and is more likely to side with Putin than Europe. Proceed accordingly. Don't play his 'wait and see' games. When he says he'll do this if Europe does it first, he's just stalling and likely has no intention of honoring the implied promise. And even if he does, there is no guarantee he won't change his mind next week. Don't wait for America to step in and save you, because it may not happen.

  14. Is this a joke. Trump has not done anything to punish Russia for invading Ukraine. Or sent any assistance to Ukraine not even allowing Ukraine to purchase American weapons

All that NATO "power", 4 years, command, control, planning, subversion, billions, military aid, space based observation, thousand of mercenaries, and almost 2 million dead Ukrainian soldiers, not even counting civilians.most important, an illegal, unjust war started by NATO

  21. What is this for nonsense. Yes europe gives weapons to ukraine but so does Iran en north Korea. The only one who puts in soldiers from other countries is russia. I believen there are a few mercenaries or volunteers but government from nato are still not sending soldier to ukraine to fight at the front

Please advocate for Banyamulenge people in south Kivu ( DR Congo). Stop racial discrimination, ethnicity, injustice.     Trump’s ego is the ONLY thing that matters. Humiliation is the only thing that can trigger a response from Trump. So keep it going Putin.

  30. NATO must not intervene in the Ukrainian war.

    If NATO intervenes, directly or indirectly, in the Ukrainian war, it will inevitably lead to war with Russia.

    Russia is targeting Ukraine with hypersonic missiles.

    NATO cannot afford this.

    Nor can the United States.

    The Ukrainian war must be treated as Russia's problem.

    NATO must not be allowed to cause trouble.
