Ukraine’s 45 day drone campaign against Russian oil refineries, pipelines, and pumping stations has been so successful that Russia is now forced to reduce oil production as there physically is nowhere to store it now. The Kremlin is now losing billions in revenue every day.

someone said they wont be able to retool for winter fuel production to compensate for less output…so come winter it will be harder to sell,i dont know if thats true but sounds great.
And many / most of them they cannot built very easily, and even if they do, Ukraine can flatten them again just as easily. This is permanent damage for all intents and purposes and its bleeding their economy to death. Unless something very major changes their oil companies will start actually falling next year along with everything else that is now reporting plunging losses.
And I think permanent does mean permanent here. It seems to be the case now that global over supply as clean energy progresses is already a problem. If Russia does actually rejoin the market the main effect is going to be to flood the market even further and suppress prices further below the point selling makes any sense. Look ahead 2, 5 years into the future and it only gets worse and worse for them.
This is good news…and is being felt in markets around the world (see link for report).
Russia would be wise to stop all aggression and war crimes, but they’ve a madman controlling their country.
Слава Україні!

Idk maybe 🤔 instead of asking allies to stop buying Russian oil we could eliminate the option? Send what’s needed to accomplish this .
The irony is that this is exactly what Tom Clancy’s *Red Storm Rising* does to eventually defeat the Soviets, but the mechanisms for its effectiveness are quite different.
Certainly, as in the novel, it does reduce available fighting fuels for the modern Russians as it did for the Soviets. However, today’s Russians have a much more complex situation: their dependence on external supplies for equipping their modern fighting forces. The depletion of oil and gas available for cash generation (or bartering) for these supplies hobbles their ability to maintain their military, not to mention increasingly affecting the civilian economy.
When the average person in St. Petersburg or Moscow can’t buy fuel it will not bode well for Putin’s future. Either the military or the FSB (or both) may be inclined to act, and this will definitely make for interesting times.
Their inflation is out of control. Wages are rising because everyone is at the front or working in factories, while supplies are down, because of the sanctions, this means prices for everything are rising. Businesses can’t really borrow money, because the interest rate is over 20%, who can afford that? I have said since day one that it would be the Russian people who ended this war. Now that Putin is no longer able to shield them from the war, before winter I bet, they will either revolt, or an oligarch will jump in to grab power before they can. Get Swan Lake out of the closet.
USSR: Mama I want scorched earth!
Ukraine: We’ve got scorched earth at home
i hope this is true. i hope its more effective than planned.
Long live Ukraine!
How do you just ‘switch off’ an oil rig? My basic understanding is that this is very difficult to do. Any efforts to do this will either make the well loose pressure (output), or render the well inoperable?
Kylo Renn, his desire un-sated
It’s so satisfying to see what happens when Ukraine decides to impose its own sanctions against russia when the West refuses to act against Putin’s War Machine. Let the russian economy collapse – show the russian people that their dictator is not acting in their best interests and is leading their country down a path of ruination.
Ban all Visas for russian travel to EU countries and regions that support freedom – totally isolate the country. These are the times to capitalize on what Ukraine is doing, not to sit back and admire the work – the world must act and act fast. Make russia small again.
Слава Україні 🇺🇦 Героям Слава 🇺🇦
Slava Ukraini!
Better than toothless sanctions where there is always some who profits.
