Rome, November 8, 2024 – Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti participated in the opening session of the conference “Italy and the World Bank Group: partnering for Africa’s prosperity”, hosted by the World Bank, the Bank of Italy, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance today at Palazzo Koch in Rome. The event focused on sustainable development and poverty reduction in Africa. On the sidelines of the conference, Minister Giorgetti met briefly with Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group. They are scheduled to meet again in Brazil for the G20.
