  1. No cheddar cheese, no scallions, no proper ham, no proper tomatoes. It’s not a salad suitable for Irish palates.

  2. This reminds me of the time I stopped in Lifford and ordered a salad in a cafe.
    The plate was packed with such random things, maybe it was a Donegal thing.

    OP’s looks far better btw.

  3. Is it prosciutto, spinach, pickles, fried halloumi, grapes, hummous, cashew nuts, tomatoes, mozzarella?, blueberries and is it egg & couscous in the middle?
    Very random but I’d eat it.

  4. I mean there’s little to nothing Irish about it from a cultural, cuisine or produce basis, but that’s probably for the best. It’s far from the ham, tomatoes and coleslaw that we were raised with.

    Looks delicious.

  5. Eh that ham is way too fancy, and it also needs to be rolled up. And everything should be peppered with purple beetroot stains.

  6. Even some of those ingredients look embarrassed to be next to each other on the same plate. There should be a place to report this type of food crime…

    Ill need to double down on kebab trays over the weekend to cleanse myself after seeing this @ OP 👍

    * edit typo

  7. When the mother reckons its “too hot to do something proper” and ya end up with a baguette and a few bits of ham and coleslaw, this looks like the plate no one touches

  8. I prefer a meat salad with sausage, bacon, black and white pudding with some beans and large croutons…..your’s isn’t too bad I guess
