A TikTok account (@maga.26.40) that regularly posts videos dedicated to Donald Trump and Elon Musk shows the Tesla CEO getting inside of a Model X while at a Formula 1 racing event.

“Elon Musk’s Tesla at F1,” a text overlay in the video reads. The automaker’s CEO can be seen walking behind the EV with its gullwing doors extended, indicating that it’s a newer variant of the brand’s Model X. A few seconds into the clip, he presses the rear passenger side’s door and it cascades upwards. When it does, he sits inside and engages the gullwing’s closing mechanism. As it shuts, he crosses his leg as someone else on the EV’s opposite side appears to adjust a seat in the vehicle, then the clip comes to a close.

What Teslas Does Musk Usually Drive?

While Musk isn’t seen getting behind the wheel of the car himself, stories about his passion for vehicles and personal car collection are available online. But which vehicles does Musk drive himself on the daily?

InsideEVs previously reported that in 2019, Musk said he drives a Tesla Model S Performance “Raven” along with a Model 3 Performance. If he’s out with his kids, Musk says he opts for the Model X.

Since then, he has been seen in a variety of Tesla makes and models. For instance, in June, he was seen exiting what looked like a revamped Roadster prototype outfitted with Robotaxi technology at this Robotaxi event in Texas.

Two years earlier, Musk also revealed on X that he had a “fun” time in Austin in a prototype Cybertruck.

Musk’s Car Collection

Long before joining Tesla, Musk demonstrated a passion for cars. After selling his first company, Zip2, for $300 million, Musk bought a McLaren F1. He posted about his decision on X in 2018, writing, “19 years ago, when my 1st company got bought, I had to decide between buying a house in Palo Alto or a McLaren F1 (best car ever imo). Was no contest. I bought F1 & a small condo that was much cheaper than the car. New Tesla Roadster will exceed all gas sports cars in every way…”

Greenlit Content shared other vehicles that Musk has in his possession, including his first ever car: a 1978 BMW 320i.

He also purchased the 1976 Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved Me at auction for nearly $1 million, and purportedly owns a 1915 Ford Model T.

He previously owned a 1967 Jaguar E-Type Roadster but said he quickly found himself disillusioned with it. After buying it, the car “broke down … on his way from the showroom,” Greenlit Content wrote.

Other cars in his collection include a 2005 Hamann tuned BMW M5, a 2010 Qudi Q7, and a $1 million 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo.

Musk also kept the original Tesla Roadster, which was based on the Lotus Elise, in his garage prior to sending it into space, where it is currently in orbit. Business Insider reported that even 17 years later, Tesla’s first production car was a fun vehicle to cruise around in.

The Petersen Automotive Museum wrote that when the Roadster debuted, Musk used the car as his daily driver from his home in Bel Air to the Tesla offices in Hawthorne. While considered a rarity today, the Roadster’s introduction to the market is widely viewed as a groundbreaking moment not just for Teslas but the EV industry as a whole.
