I’m not a Trump fan. However, we have no say in who the American people vote for. We do have a say in how we are viewed with potential trade partners, and I would expect our representatives to negotiate difficult situations on our behalf. Its what they are elected to do.
I’m not advocating kissing his arse, but having a voice representing our small nation with one of the leading economies in the world should be taken at every opportunity.
I know many will disagree with me, but once again I feel Welsh Labour put optics, and the desire to look morally right, over the growth of our nation.

Brilliant, why should she pander to a nonce?
It’s the most politically astute decision.
On the one hand, being there isn’t likely to make much of a difference to proceedings, and she’d cop a lot of flack from Welsh people for who hate trump attending.
And on the other hand, her not being there won’t be noted by the Americans as being a major diplomatic snub in the same way that the PM or the King not showing up would be. The first minister isn’t responsible for foreign diplomacy.
So this is a win-win choice for her.

Didn’t stop Drakeford accepting an all expenses paid trip to Qatar or Morgan meeting Qatari representatives in Cardiff back in 2020 to try and get them to restart flights from Cardiff.

People saying she’s costing jobs…what jobs? How do you know that an Independent Cymru wouldn’t be a more appealing business offer? And anyway, integrity and how a nation makes money is very important!! You only have to look at history to know that. Standing up and showing welsh women and children that they are actually safe, listened to and protected from grapist and nonces is far greater then any buisnnes deal.
