  1. The new episode has been delayed to September 24. Then, the series will continue dropping new episodes every other Wednesday from Oct. 15 to Dec. 10.

    Trey Parker & Matt Stone:

    >“Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don’t get it done. This one’s on us. We didn’t get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!”

  2. They’re definitely pacing around in circles in that writer’s room deciding whether or not to kill Cartman.

  3. They really ain’t even pretending to care anymore.

  4. Just kill Clyde, Cartman can now become nick fuentes.

  5. I’m sure this has nothing to do with recent events. /s

I just hope they’re not gonna tone it down because of the Charlie Kirk situation.

  6. They have been quickly whipping up episodes that are super relevant. They likely had something then juggled maybe tackling Kirk then decided not to go as far as they usually go then ran out of time when they started fresh.

  7. Fill the time slot with MST3K and Kids in the Hall reruns for no reason at all!

  8. I call bullshit, they had it done but Comedy Central is scared to air what they have.

  9. The bummer is that their Charlie Kirk episode was actually really good—and I doubt he or his family would even mind.

But I’m sure some crazies would lose their minds, so I get it

  10. I’m going to use this excuse at my job.

“Sorry, boss. I took a five hour shit, will finish the Penske Files tomorrow AM”

  11. Man, it’s eerie how they literally just put that episode out that focused on Clyde and Cartman. Then the recent events. As far as leaning into that goes, they HAVE TO, right?

  12. I kind of love that Trey and Matt can just do whatever they want. Lol

  13. Kill off Clyde. What’s paramount going to do? Cancel them? They already got paid. And any network or streaming service would pick them up by end of day.

  14. South Park has always been cutting, but fair.

It’s pretty obvious that the assassination has caused them to pivot hard on the current story line and even they won’t completely shit on a person that was just murdered infront of his family.

  15. Isn’t this the first time they’ve actually missed the deadline in the shows history? I know they’ve come close but isn’t this the first time “it’s not done”

  16. They need to do an episode based on Philadelphia Karen!

  17. Anyone taking odds on whether Paramount pays them out of their contract, before the season ends?

  18. Remember the July 4th prank episode of 1998? That pissed of quite a few people

  19. If this season doesn’t end with at least one of senator or house representative calling for a warrant for Matt and Trey’s arrest, than this season will be a general letdown.

  20. Probably had it ready, probably had CK in it, probably got told by CC to make a new one or edit, probably couldn’t be fucked.

  21. As another posted suggested, killing Cartman for an episode or so would lead to some good moments. (Could have the kids appeal to Satan to ressurect him or something, I remember him and Stan having a friendly relationship). But I would probably kill Clyde permanently.

  22. There’s no way the network didn’t intervene and make them stop whatever they were doing, right? Even if it’s just to postpone it for another week to let the heat die off?

  23. Sounds like something got scrapped and they need to start over.

  24. Honestly that’s fine I’m pretty sure with the situation that happened they had to rethink the story they probably had all kinds of stuff about things they can’t talk about now because it’s way too soon

  25. Why didn’t Daniel Tosh have the same pull those guys to do what they want and get large amounts of money for it? The schedule was nothing but his show before The Office took the baton. Was there more to the story because makes no sense why he got shafted when it looked like he had the run of the place like Stone and Parker do.

  26. How many times has this happened before? Just curious because I know they have a very spontaneous and tight schedule.

  27. They probably had to rewrite it twice given how the past two weeks have been

  28. I think the episode is already done, it doesn’t pull any punches with Charlie Kirk and Comedy Central is just worried about airing it. There is not a single thing Trey and Matt won’t joke about so I doubt a podcaster getting killed is where they draw the line.
