I’m 26 years old male from Indonesia. I have work experience in software engineering for 5 years. I’ve planned to join Fachinformatiker or Mechatroniker ausbildung next year. But then I see ausbildung called Feuerwehrmann and Werkfeuerwehrmann in [ausbildung.de](https://ausbildung.de) .

So the question is can I join one of them?

  1. It is very difficult to get a visa for an apprenticeship as a non-EU national. The reason is, that the employer has to proof, that he could not fill the position with Germans or EU-nationals. For some areas like nursing with a huge shortage there is a chance, but I am not sure if Feuerwehrmann is an option.

  2. Why not apply for a software engineering job? I noticed that some Indians would stay few months in Germany for an address so that they could apply for a job or try to look for stepstone.de for a remote job.

    I think 5years experience is definitely an advantage but not a guarantee to win
