RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Eldorado’s 43rd Annual Great Italian Festival will celebrate the country’s culture and cuisine when it takes over downtown Reno on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11 and 12.
“Everyone’s Italian this weekend!” according to Eldorado Resort and Casino, which is a Caesars Rewards destination.
Live Italian-style bands and musicians will perform throughout the two-day festival.
Notable artists include Ray Massa’s Eurorhythms, Moreno Fruzzetti, Capuano n’T Rock, Italica, Anthony Nino Lane Band, and Mbrascatu.
Pasta Sauce Cookers will whip up their favorite secret family recipes that will be judged during the Family Sauce Cook-Off.
This pasta will be available for $7 underneath the sky bridge on 4th Street between the Eldorado and Silver Legacy casinos.
Additional food for purchase will be available throughout the festival including La Strada’s world-famous mushroom ravioli.
The annual grape stomp will be held both days. The public is invited to participate.
Plus, there will be a Wine Walk and tickets include a souvenir cup with unlimited pours.
There will be cornhole, face painting and slides in addition to craft vendors with everything from art to jewelry.
The festival will end with awards for Best Sauce, People’s Choice and Best Decorated Booth.
The event will be outside on Virginia Street from Second to Sixth streets. On the first day, it runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and then 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the second day.
