The MAGA crusade to cancel free speech is now holding people responsible for things their spouses say. Case in point: Matthew Readling had worked at the Texas Roadhouse in Milton, FL., since 2021. This week, the company fired him after his wife, Mallory, posted critical thoughts about Charlie Kirk on Facebook.

In another, Mallory shared: "Y'all are NEVER OUTRAGED over school shootings though. Just mad when the RACIST, WHITE MAN dies. My god. What is even going on anymore?'

Scarlett Johnson, the social media manager for the right-wing group Moms for Liberty (M4L), was instrumental in Matthew's termination.

It is insane that Texas Roadhouse would take a position on any of this it is a restaurant plain and simple and one that I can tell you that has many restaurants located in MANY area’s i’m glad we just got a LongHorn Steakhouse I’ll never eat at Texas Roadhouse again I have one less than a mile from me She was asking a question I think that needs to be answered this selective outrage is not only hypocritical but it’s an irony for sure I mean it’s been days ago since a 10-year-old child had to lay on top of his a 10 year old child had to lay on top of his best friend and sacrifice his own life to save his friend as he was shot in the back 10 years old in fourth grade!

    If it’s in the media for a day or two and then gone , likewise with Minnesota speaker of the House Melissa Horton who was made to watch her dog be shot her husband and then herself in her own home, who committed himself admitted political assassination then went to another lawmakers home in Minnesota and tried to kill another lawmaker and his wife these aren’t YouTube personalities these are our lawmakers the people we vote for

  18. Wasn’t there a situation with the wife of a supreme court justice flying a flag at their house. And the response was she has a right to her opinions and we should not be concerned and about impartiality from that justice
