[Takáts Tamás – Szállj velem](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36vAwXmjpYQ)

I’ve gotten into Hungarian music lately and discovered this performance by TT. I think it’s *beautiful*, but it seems to be not like his normal stuff.

Trying to translate the comments, it appears to be a cover version, so I was wondering what this performance is for (a TV special?), who wrote the song (is it the guy they keep cutting to on keyboard?), and if there are any more performances like this?

  1. Zámbó Jimmy is the original one, he is dead now(accidentally shot himself in the head). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91wuAUbRlo8

But if you like older hungarian music, i recommend checking out these, a bit better stuff imo…:

  2. he was involved with music since young age, in my opinion his best work was with East, (critically acclimed in western countries) a progressive rock band founded in the seventies, he joined in the mid-eighties as lead vocal. He also played drums if I remember correctly

later he created his own band, the Takáts Tamás (Dirty) Blues Band and that became fairly popular in Hungary
