  1. Holy shit. That means everyone else with more seniority is already dead.

  2. Remember that in May a battalion commander within the 47th resigned (https://militaryland.net/news/idiotic-orders-and-losses-magura-commander-resigns/) due to reckless/idiotic orders from Ukrainian brass. Brigade commanders and the general staff (Syrski et al.) need to be replaced with leaders who do not carelessly waste lives and resources.

Kursk incursion alone should have gotten Syrski fired – doing it was fine, but they should have quickly returned to Ukraine. Instead they languished there and left at the last possible moment – losing an unacceptable amount of men/material in the process.

Hopefully this guy is one of the good ones.

  3. In war the cream always rises to the top irrespective of age.

Roland Bradford was a Brigadier General before his death in 1917.

  4. There is a bad history of commanders having their actions questioned and being replaced (5 commanders replaced since 2022, not KIA)

  5. The rank …the age…the decoration …A NCO could be highly decorated compared to an officer.

  6. Slava Ukraine! Godspeed to the new commander – Heroyam Slava!

  7. The article is indeed interesting. It mentions the 47th for having bad tactics, but from what I remember from their footage, they’ve been in pretty insane situations

  8. Good luck! Btw. nice gun – probably a Polish made Beryl wz. 96C

  9. That was a fast rise, Lt Colonel by 26. Usually an age of a Captain.

  10. May everything good and holy in this universe keep this young man and all the people under his command safe and victorious. SLAVA UKRAINI!!

  11. Good hunting and God speed! The free world stands by you, and your fight against terrorism will go down as major victory that destroyed a terrorist state, even while being stabbed in the back by trump and his russian fans.
