The only solution is for Europe to invest into our own energy creation capabilities. Nuclear, wind, solar, hydro, etc.
This would help cut off a massive source of cash for regimes that are relatively far from what we deem respectable views.
Funny thing is, Russia already significantly decreased the flow of gas through Belarus in August to starve EU of gas.
I suppose Putin will ask Lukashenko for compensation before being allowed to turn off the gas to Europe? If Putin would even allow it at all, that is.
