Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie may be looking forward to turning 40. According to a new documentary, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters are set to receive a large sum of money from their great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, when they reach their milestone birthday.

In the upcoming documentary The Royal Rich List 2025: Who’s Worth the Most?, experts claim Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie could be coming into money in the near future. “In just a few years, on their 40th birthdays, the sisters are alleged to receive another whopping windfall: a reported share of a £5 million inheritance from their great-grandmother, [Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother],” the narrator says. (That’s more than $6.7M in U.S. dollars.)
After Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, divorced in 1996, their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, put aside money for them. “Beatrice and Eugenie, like many of their friends, have a trust fund, but theirs actually came through tragedy, really, because it’s when their parents divorced. The Queen gave them a £1.4 million trust fund,” royal expert Charlotte Griffiths said.
In the documentary, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie tie for the eighth spot on the list of the U.K.’s richest royals. The two women — who are not working members of the royal family and therefore do not receive a stipend from the firm — each have their own careers. Beatrice recently signed on to serve as director and 45% shareholder of Purpose Economy Intelligence Ltd. Eugenie, meanwhile, works as an art auctioneer at the Hauser & Wirth gallery.
