Engie rewards its parent company that took on a lot of risks with building, operating and maintaining their power plants.
Engie itself will pay put that money to its shareholders, among which you will find the French state and multiple pension funds.
If you don’t like that, maybe the government should not have sold these plants to private investors in the first place.
Isn’t this happening every year?
Protip: Belgium is actually a French vassal state, whose Southern half has been assimilated to the French language and for a part culture as well.
