  1. So they’ve gone from drones to fighter jets.

Is anyone at any point going shoot that shit down?

  2. I hope the next news report will be ‘3 russian fighter jets shot down near Tallinn’

  3. what if estonian fighter jets will breach russian airspace

  4. This is Russia’s signal for Europe to invest more in defence of Ukraine.

  5. They are simulating attacks and testing the NATO response. They will not stop with their aggression until they lose an aircraft.

  6. Yeah the breaching is nothing new here. They do it contantly. Most likely trying to provoke us to shoot them down so they can “avenge” thier pilots or smth.

  7. They are trying to lead us into an all out war to save their economy. We shouldn’t take the bait.

  8. Interesting that they were older Mig 31. Clearly a ‘bombing’ threat more than anything else.

Highly curious if NATO is just playing possum with these or if we really should get our shit in order after three and a half years…

  9. Then they should be shot down, that’s what Russia would do after all.

  10. Shoot the fuckers down, they are clearly probing us, testing our response. Let’s give them a response.

  11. The world leaders are fucking cowards, letting these authoritarian cunts doing whatever the fuck they want.

  12. I’m sure that after having seen the strong response of tutting in western capitals, they’ll think twice about doing this again

  13. This happens all the time for those wondering. They do it to the US as well up near Alaska, go JUST inside US airspace and back out to see response times of the US.

This is testing Estonia’s response time

  14. Putin is testing NATO and so far..they’ve done fuck all. Putin is being glad handed. Politics can get in the bin…he needs to taste actual consequences.

  15. When these assholes violate air space, they need to get escorted out or shot the fuck down.

  16. Russia: that annoying little dog that keeps trying to annoy you humping your leg. As soon as you shout at it, it runs away whimpering.

  17. What is the Russian excuse this time? They were confused by Ukrainian gps interference? Took a left turn at Albuquerque?

  18. Shoot them down. Only that will stop them fucking around with us.

  19. Shot it down like the Turks did. No violation of their airspace since then.

  20. Putin needs political capital to justify further conventional escalation.

The Russian population is nearing its breaking point on Ukraine but the war economy is the only thing keeping the country alive.

Putin also knows he needs to escalate without provoking an Article 5 response since he knows a coalition would flatten Moscow as fast it did Baghdad. That means no direct armed attacks on NATO territory or nuclear options in Ukraine.

So we’re getting these weird probing incursions that come with plausible deniability. He needs NATO to shoot back at something “innocent” so he can justify putting the country into total war.

  21. Hey guys, does it smell like Article 5 in here to anyone else?

  22. If Estonias Big Brother hears of this, there will be hell to pay.. the Finns do not like it if you threaten the estonians.. not at all.

  23. This calls for the [Turkish Method](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Russian_Sukhoi_Su-24_shootdown):

    * ruski jet violates Turkish airspace.
    * Turkish F16s start a dialogue.
    * ruski jet performs goodwill gesture in preparation of unscheduled maintenance.
    * Putin warns of *”significant consequences”.*
    * A significant lack of ruski jets violating Turkey’s airspace follows.

Sounds like a pretty good set of consequences to me.

  24. Shoot it down and deny it was ever there. NATO needs to use the same tactics as Russia.

  25. Just turning it on its head. Yes this is Russia testing response from nato etc.

But I think it’s silly to assume that despite the radio silence and lack of reaction nato aren’t doing the same. They’ll know the jets are on the way, they’ll be conducting just as many test and recording as much data for their own purposes they just aren’t dumb enough to tell anyone about it.

It is getting kinda boring though on russias part. Like, can you just not. We all know if and when one does get shot down you’ll immediately play victim and start crying about it as nato aggression anyway
